Buffett: Prospect of higher tax rate in the future made sale of Apple shares more attractive now

Warren Buffett says that while Berkshire sold 13% of its Apple stake in the first quarter, he expects the iPhone maker will remain the company's biggest equity holding. He also expects that the capital gains tax rate will be going higher in the future as the U.S. tackles its deficit, and while Berkshire generally doesn't mind paying taxes, shareholders may appreciate that some Apple shares were sold at the current 21% rate, before tax bite gets deeper.
