Why did we build the Warren Buffett Archive?

Each year, thousands of shareholders come to Omaha for Berkshire Hathaway's annual meeting. The highlight is a wide-ranging Q&A session with Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger.

Until 2016, when livestreaming began, Berkshire did not allow any outside recording at the event.

Now, for the first time, Berkshire Hathaway is sharing the videos it's been making since 1994. They form the core of this archive.

In the "Annual Meetings" session you'll find a page for each year with a full-length video and synchronized transcript of the morning and afternoon sections of the Q&A. They are divided into "chapters" to help you navigate through the material. Additionally, there are "key chapters"' to indicate some of the most interesting segments of the meetings. We've also compiled a highlight reel for each year and created video clips covering scores of subjects.

"CNBC Interviews" includes a selection of live and taped appearances Buffett has made on the network. We will add additional interviews on an ongoing basis and plan to introduce interview transcripts in the future.

"Buffett A-Z" brings together collections of clips from multiple years on a variety of key subjects covered in the meetings.

"Timeline" is a visual look at some of the most important milestones in Buffett's life and career.

Q. Will the archive include recent news about Warren Buffett?
A. Links to all new articles and videos posted on cnbc.com and CNBC Make It will appear in the "Buffett News" section of the homepage.

Q. How frequently is the site updated?
A. We will be adding each new annual meeting and CNBC interview shortly after they conclude. We will also add new Buffett A-Z collections from time to time.

Q. Is the site available internationally?
A. Yes, but you may experience limitations due to localized firewalls.

Q. How can I search for specific names, companies or topics on the archive?
A. There is a "Search the Archive" section on the homepage that can be reached by clicking on "Explore" or scrolling down. You may also click on the word "Search" on the top-right of every page. Keywords will prepopulate as you type. Search results are labeled to indicate whether they point to a chapter, clip, or specific text.

Q. Why does (PH) appear after some names in the transcripts?
A. It indicates that we are not certain of the correct spelling and have used a phonetic approximation. Please email us at buffett@cnbc.com if you can provide the correct spelling.

Q. How may I provide feedback, submit issues or let you know about typos, misspellings of names or other errors?
A. Email us at buffett@cnbc.com.
